P. Radiata is an extremely common building material here in Aotearoa. Softwood. Reasonably easy to work with. Treatment helps to prevent the wood rotting and/or being eaten by insects. It's a little confusing for the uninitiated so this is a quick reference guide to help a complete novice like me build up a mental model of what kinds of things each treatment is meant for.
